The Empire Skate Showdown was a huge success!  The feedback we have received from both our skaters and other leagues was so positive and only confirmed what a well organized and fun event the tournament turned out to be. 

Having access to our message board, I'm able to read all of the great comments and news about how the event went down.  I continue to read about how well everyone worked together to make it all happen.  How for some dreams came true and for others, they experienced the most well planned event ever.  How for many, the tournament was the best day of their lives!

This Saturday, The Rebels will play their last away bout of the season.  The Travel Team has played their best season ever this year and I know they will continue to show off their superb skills when they battle it out against Ithaca Suffer Jets this weekend.

Although this is the last away bout for the league, we've still got plenty of derby going on here on LI. The Empire Skate Showdown, and a few more home team bouts are on the horizon and we can't wait to see all of our screaming fans there!

Today I bring you facts about one of our newer skaters, St. Zombie's Fire.  Read on to learn about her many travels, family history and a few of her favorite things.

1. I am a Civil War Descend. My great-great grandfather Tomas Francis Travers was a Union solider. My family is very proud of this and when I was ten I dressed up for Halloween as him.
